New 112,000-sf indoor sports facility for the for the City of West Monroe. The facility will offer space configurable for eight basketball courts or sixteen volleyball/pickleball courts. Other amenities include concessions, multi-purpose rooms, and training rooms. The core gym structure is comprised of load-bearing tilt-wall concrete panels supporting long-span steel roof trusses and the spectator viewing mezzanine. This area alone is 190ft wide x 475ft long with wall heights of nearly 50ft. Due to long lead times in the engineered joist industry and associated costs, the roof trusses were designed and detailed in-house by our structural team and were fabricated locally. Trusses span the full width of 190ft supporting both roof and sports equipment. Mechanical systems include a combination of VRF technology, gas-fired DX rooftop units, and two 150 ton DX gas-fired ground mounted packaged units.
